This is what I’ve been working on for the past week
‘No sew bunting’ using up left over sock yarn (in my case stuff that I had more than enough of in my Beekeepers Quilt). I’m just finishing off the pattern before I put it up on Ravelry. (It’s here! No Sew Bunting for Madagascar) It’ll be a ‘paid’ pattern (although not a very expensive one) as I need to raise some funds for a Scouting expedition to Madagascar in the summer. I’ll be there for two and a half months, fo a month and a half I’ll be volunteering in partnership with Akany Avoko an amazing charity offering care and education to young girls who’s parents are unable to provide for them. For the other month I’ll be a leader with Madagascar 2013 a scouting expedition comprising 68 scouts between the ages of 16 and 24. Check out the website to find out all about it. For those who are concerned about giving money to a scouting endeavor given the internet press the Boy Scouts of America is currently getting due to it’s current policy on homosexuality never fear! This is the UK Scout Association who’s positive policy on diversity can be seen here, I am happy proof that the UK Scout Association does not discriminate against gay people. Keep checking back, I’ll put up the link to the pattern on Ravelry as soon as it’s completed (or as soon as nephew and niece give me five minutes peace!) Done it!
